SUPPLY OF GOODY BOXES BOOSTED WITH SUPPORT FROM BUDLEIGH SALTERTON LIONS

For most people, Christmas this year will have been a little more restrained than usual, but nearly everyone will have given and received presents. But for some, at Christmas there could be nothing. People with disabilities or in financial hardship, who often through no fault of their own, have no one to give them a present or even enough food for a special Christmas meal .

This is where the charity Inaheartbeat steps in with Goody  Boxes. Goody  Boxes are a Christmas box containing basic necessities  as well as enough food for a special Christmas meal (from a fresh turkey, to some potatoes, Christmas pudding and so on) and some special treats  (like chocolates, biscuits, sweets and so on) as well as a present individually chosen for each recipient 's children .

In 2009 Inaheartbeat plans to produce even more Goody boxes and will be boosting their funds raising efforts through the year. The Goody box website www.inaheartbeat.co.uk  is the place to visit for anyone who can help give something back to the community or would like to make a donation.
